1st Grade

• Use of the hand signs for Sol, Mi, and La
• The rhythm ta, ti-ti, and rest
• Beat vs. rhythms
• Singing games

4th Grade

• The rhythm toom, ti-tika and tika-ti,  plus all rhythms used in the past
• Chorus work
• Rhythmic reinforcement activities
• Meter

4th Grade had a virtual Carol sing along!

2nd Grade

• The use of the hand signs Sol, Mi, La, Re, and Do
• The rhythms ta, ti-ti, too-oo, toe, quarter, half and whole rests
• Beat vs. rhythm
• "Grown-up" rhythm names (quarter/eighth note)

5th Grade

• The rhythm ti tum and tum ti plus all rhythms learned in the past
• Chorus work
• Recognizing anacrusis
• Composing music, using known rhythms
• Writing Lyrics to fit with rhythms
